MODERNIZATION OF SU-27 (SU-30K) AIRCRAFT

Purpose of modernization: creation of a multifunctional fighter.

Main directions of modernization

Extending the range of applied weapons:

  • “air-to-air” guided missiles RVV-AE;

  • “air-to-ground” guided missiles H-29Т, H-31А, H-31P;

  • air bombs KAB-1500KR(L), KAB-500KR(L).

Introduction of the new operation modes of the radar targeting system,which allows to detect targets at the distance:

  • “Launcher” type with the radar cross-section (RSC) of 30 m2—40 km;

  • “Hangar” and “Railroad Bridge” types with the RCS of 1000 m2—150 km;

  • surface targets with RCS of 30 m2 at the sea swell of under 5 points—50 km;

  • surface targets in the real time surveying mode—350 km.

Increase in accuracy and functional capabilities of the navigation system, which enables:

  • generation and storage of data on eight routes (in standard version—two routes);
  • automated and manual changes of navigation points during the flight;
  • definition of the current coordinates of aircraft with the accuracy of ±20 m (in standard variant—700 meters);
  • definition of the flight speed with the accuracy of 0.2 m/s.

Introduction of aircraft’s engines and systems control complex, which enables:
  • prognosis of the engines’ technical condition;
  • recording and storage of the flight data;
  • real-time control and testing of engines parameters while checking the engines on the ground;
  • processing and express analysis of the recorded data.
Installation of data receiving and transmitting system, which enables:
  • transmission of coordinates of the detected ground targets to ground control centers;
  • control over the aircraft’s position in the air;
  • storage of data on flight parameters at a ground operator;
  • control over operation of aviation equipment;
  • assistance to a pilot in special cases;
  • training of pilots;
  • ground targeting.

Installation of EMI shielding equipment.
