UNIFIED GROUP SIMULATOR FOR TRAINING AD GUNNER SQUAD OF THE MANPAD “IGLA”

Designed for effective training and exercising of anti-aircraft gunner squad of the MANPAD “Igla” in engagement of virtually simulated air targets providing unbiased monitoring of trainees’ actions. AD gunners train and exercise under instructor’s supervision.

The simulator ensures:

  • simulation of ground and background situations as virtual 3D image of ground and background situations in a circular azimuth (360°) and 90° elevation sectors respectively. Variants of ground and background situations can be selected or added by the Customer;

  • simulation of aerial situation as virtual 3D aerial situation in a circular azimuth (360°) and 90° elevation sectors respectively;

  • simulation of jamming situation as organized (flares, etc.) and natural (sun, clouds) jamming;

  • complete and accurate simulation of all phases of combat work using an overall dimension-weight dummy of the MANPAD (launching mechanism and launching tube) and in virtual 3D image of aerial and ground situations in a circular azimuth sector (360°) and elevation sector (90°);

  • detailed simulation of tactical methods of actions of aerial targets (maneuvers, jamming), including helicopters of fire support and cruising missiles;

  • training of anti-aircraft gunners in search, detection, identification and definition of parameters of airborne targets movement and limits of launching zones;

  • training of anti-aircraft gunners in target lock-on, its tracking and “launch” of a missile on head on and pursuit courses in manual and automatic launching modes;

  • complete and accurate simulation of MANPAD sound signals, missile “launch”, missile blasting during target hit or self-destruction, sound signals of air targets, including sounds, which occur when a target is hit by a missile and is falling with the delay corresponding to a range up to a target;

  • registration, analysis with further reproduction and estimation of anti-aircraft gunner’s actions and errors indication;

  • semi-automatic control of operation;

  • 12-hour operation per 24 hours, with 1-hour break after each 8-hour operation.
