Good Start: the Belarusian SAMI Has Fulfilled the Development Parameters Outlined for the First Quarter of 2021

The results of the implementation of business plans for the development of organisations in the first quarter of 2021 and the forecast of their implementation in the first half of 2021 were considered in early May at a meeting of the State Authority for Military Industry (SAMI) board. It was chaired by the Minister of the department Dmitry Pantus. In addition to the members of this body, it was attended by the heads of SAMI departments, heads of SAMI companies.

Deputy Minister of SAMI Viachaslau Rassalai in his report analysed the key parameters of business plans for the first quarter of this year, dwelled on the emerging dynamics of socio-economic development and the planned results of the first half of the year. He noted that SAMI companies have met the development parameters planned for the first quarter of 2021.

The volume of industrial production (work, services) by January - March 2020 amounted to 126.1%. The high level of innovative products remains in the total volume of shipped industrial products. Its share in January - March 2021 amounted to 45.7%. Net profit increased to 73.4 million Belarusian rubles (or 344.5% of the plan), profitability of sales was 20.6%. The nominal accrued average monthly salary in general for SAMI companies reached 1,783,5 Belarusian rubles, or 108.9% to the same level last year, and the growth rate of exports of goods and services – 111%. A positive foreign trade balance has been achieved. The volume of investments in fixed assets in the SAMI system amounted to 199.2% of the plan.

SAMI Minister Dmitry Pantus noted that, despite certain difficulties encountered in the work of a number of organisations, the leadership directs the directors’ corps to take additional measures to maximize the achievement of the parameters of key indicators of socio-economic development for the current year, paying special attention to such aspects as export of products and services.

In the resolution of the meeting, a number of organisations’ heads were pointed to work insufficiencies in fulfilling certain key indicators of business development plans in the first quarter of 2021. The tasks were clarified and the requirements for catching up the backlog of the enterprises they lead were brought up.

At the meeting of the board, Dmitry Pantus presented diplomas to the winners of the review competition for the best labor protection organisation. Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant JSC was recognised as the best among industrial enterprises, and among scientific organisations — AGAT – Control Systems JSC – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding, which achieved good results in creating safe and healthy working conditions, reducing the level of injuries.
